Judge is still 60, and Yank takes a short win over the Red Sox

NEW YORK (Associated Press) – Due to rain Sunday night, Aaron Judge is doing his record chase on the road.

The judge was left at 60 home runs, short of Roger Maris’ MLS mark, when the New York Yankees’ 2-0 win over the Boston Red Sox after six rounds was called up by heavy rain.

The Big Sweeper went 1 on 2 in a double and was due to come next for the Yankees when play stopped. The match was called up after a 98-minute delay, sending Judge to Toronto still chasing Maris.

But the four-time All-Star insisted he wasn’t disappointed that he couldn’t make it to 61st at the New York home 6-0.

“You can’t think like that,” the judge said. “This isn’t our last home game, so I’m not worried about it.”

New York has won seven times in a row and can win the AL East title with a Monday night win over the Blue Jays.
