Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my WordPress journey. It actually started almost two years ago, but the thought came to me a couple of weeks ago that I should journal about my experiences as I learn and grow with WordPress. In September of 2007, a friend asked, “Have you ever used WordPress“? And I answered, “What is WordPress”? It was obvious I needed help. So, he began showing me the WordPress dashboard. I think back then it was version 2.5 or even earlier. I remember looking at all the buttons and gadgets and thinking, “I will never learn this”. Well, I learned that and much more.
But the beauty of WordPress is: you can never learn it all because it is constantly morphing. Yesterday I was installing this theme, Flexx Candy Apple, and had to contact iThemes tech support. Do you see that lovely background pattern? That was the reason I chose the theme, I just loved it. Well, when I uploaded and activated the theme, that pattern showed at the top, but not all the way down the page. What to do?
So, I emailed the guys at iThemes tech support and had an answer within 30 minutes. Seems the version was old. I went to their site, downloaded the latest version to my laptop, and then uploaded it to my server. I opened my website, clicked refresh a few times just for good measure, and there it was: that beautiful pattern.
